Come with us on a magical, mystical tour of some of the most incredible sights in all of the World. Come with us and let us show you why we love Peru. Chinchilejo is a corporation owned entirely by Mariella Noriega, a Peruvian born and raised in Iquitos, Peru - a friendly city of 300,000 inhabitants nestled on the banks of the Amazon River. Mariella is a professional guide and has been running tours in Peru for the last 8 years. She is married to an American, Alan Shoemaker who also assists her on “chinchilejo tours.” She also speaks English but has assistants that can be brought in for groups that speak fluent Chinese, French, and Italian. If other languages are needed, Mariella has extensive contacts and will supply the group with the translator needed.

Peru: Post Conference Tour: July 29th - August 2nd

Day 1: Fly Iquitos-Lima-Cuzco. Arrival around 12pm. Rest and drink coca tea. Cuzco is high altitude so we need to take this time to get used to the altitude (about 10,000 feet). It rarely affects people so many will choose to walk around Plaza de Armas, visit some of the old Churches and museums.

Day 2: We take private transportation down into the Sacred Valley making our first stop at Pisac. The indigenous have an incredible arts and crafts fair here. Lunch here. Following lunch we travel to the old pueblo  of Ollantaytambo and check into our hotel. The ruins here almost as incredible as Machu Picchu. Dinner in Ollantaytambo.

Day 3: We take the early morning train to Machu Picchu village (Aguas Claientes) then the bus up switch backs to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Everyone has the day to be in the ruins. Lunch at the restaurant there by Machu Picchu. In the late afternoon we bus back down to Machu Picchu villge and catch the train back to Ollantaytambo then private transportation back to Cuzco. Dinner in Cuzco.

Day 4: Following breakfast we take our transportation to the incredibly ruins of Ollantaytambo in the mountains just above Cuzco. The morning is spent here exploring the ruins and we walk the beautiful steps back down through the outskirts of Cuzco and have lunch in Cuzco. The afternoon is free time to do some shopping in the amazing shops of Cuzco. Dinner in Cuzco.

Day 5: We have two options this day. Some of you might like to be in a San Pedro ceremony held in a private house just beside the Temple of the Moon of Ollantaytambo. You literally walk out the door of this beautiful home and your standing in the Temple of the Moon. Others  perhaps would like more time exploring Cuzco.  Your choice. If you choose Ceremony, the cost is $40 USDs. The Ceremony is held in the day, beginning in the morning at 9am. At 9pm you will be transported back to Cuzco to your hotel.

Day 6: Breakfast and good byes, exchanging emails and catching the various flights we’ll all haed back to Lima in order to make your international connections to return to your home countries.

Total cost: $1400 USDs. This includes everything beginning in Lima. RoundTrip airfare Lima/Cuzco/Lima, all private transport, entrance fees and transport to Machu Picchu and your lodging. It does not cover your food. This way you may eat where and what you wish. No worries, food is not expensive in Peru but it is varied and incredible.
